It is inconceivable that Parliament is shut during this time of national crisis. It should be meeting around the clock to find solutions to the multiple crises hitting our nation, from Stage 6 load-shedding, the fuel price crisis and the Phala Phala scandal, to unemployment.

💡 Stage 6 loadshedding for South Africans while Eskom sells electricity to neighbours

Whilst South Africa has been in its darkest period these past few years, Eskom has continued selling and supplying neighbouring countries with electricity – electricity which could have reduced stages of loadshedding for ordinary South Africans if that supply was kept here.

💪 14 months later, NDZ warms to the idea of learning from well-managed DA municipalities

Exactly a year and two months since making the call, the DA is elated that Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma has come out in support of the DA’s initiative for a mini summit where the City of Cape Town would share municipal governance best practices with other struggling metros across the country.
