UNABLE TO VOTE AT THE VOTING STATION AT WHICH YOU ARE REGISTERED TO VOTE?

A voter may vote outside of the voting district where registered on voting day, 29 May 2024, but needs to notify the Electoral Commission before voting day during the period specified in the Election Timetable.

For example, in a different Ward, City or Province on 29 May 2024.

The application must be submitted before 17 May 2024.

UNABLE TO ATTEND A VOTING STATION ON 29 MAY 2024?

Registered voters who are unable to attend their local voting station to vote on 29 May 2024 can apply for a special vote, for example: if you can’t travel to your voting station because you are physically infirm, disabled or pregnant, or you can’t vote at your voting station on election day (working, or assisting in elections etc.)

CUT-OFF DATE FOR NOTIFICATION & APPLICATION TO VOTE OUTSIDE OF THE REPUBLIC

A person who intends to vote outside of the Republic is required to complete a VEC10 form by 22 April 2024. This is for persons registered to vote in South Africa but travelling abroad on day of voting.

The application must be submitted before 22 April 2024.
