The illegal waste collection strike is now in full swing. Contractors refuse to perform any household waste collection, unlawfully blocked access to all landfill sites and are preventing any waste disposal from taking place. Garden refuse sites are also affected.
The City is in continuous engagement with contractors, and no waste will be collected until a resolution has been reached.
